“Dream Adventures” is a heartwarming and miraculous campaign out of Expedia with agency 180LA.
A 360-degree camera, interactive live-streaming, and a screening room brought “Dream Adventures” to life, an effort that helps the young cancer patients at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital live out their dreams of traveling to the furthest reaches of the world, without leaving their necessary medical arrangements at the hospital.
Beautifully captured in this spot, we see the kids taking virtual journeys to the jungle, through the ocean to swim alongside fish, even to search for dinosaur bones alongside an archaeologist. To achieve the realistic feel within the spot of what the children themselves were experiencing, we replaced every screen in the ad to integrate every last detail. In principal photography, the intricacies of the screens did not come through, so we went through and replaced everything as well as completing overall meticulous clean-up on the spot.
The spot is a worthy watch (it was named AdWeek’s Ad of the Day) and celebrates the noble cause of St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Watch below and find out more about their operation here.
