This new film for Google, introducing NSynth Super – a musical instrument that can generate over 100,000 new sounds using machine learning. NSynth was developed by Magenta, a research project within Google seeking to investigate how new technologies like machine learning models and algorithms can play a role in inspiring musicians in new and creative ways. The project’s machine learning algorithm uses deep neural networks to learn the characteristics of sounds, and then creates a completely new sound based on these characteristics.
